Joesph Martin

All the way from Gustine, California in the fertile Central Valley, Mr. Martin in his 15th year of teaching but now in his 9th year as an advisor for Hollister FFA. His family consists of his wife, Erin, and daughter, Samantha, and son, Joseph. Mr. Martin showed and raised large animals including sheep, hogs and cattle. Here at Hollister High School, he teaches in the Ag Mechanics department including Ag Fab. Being an advisor, he coaches the Welding CDE team as well as speech competitions and upcoming conferences.

Grace Erickson

Mrs. Grace Erickson is a native of Hollister and is excited to once again be a Haybaler. She earned her degrees from UC Davis and teaches Ag Communications & Leadership, Ag Government & Economics, Animal Science and Veterinary Science. She is also excited to coach the Livestock Judging Team.

Right over the Pacheco Pass, Mr. Simas is from Los Banos, CA, where he was involved in FFA throughout high school. After that, he headed to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where he earned his degree and is now teaching. When he is not teaching or learning, you’ll find him staying active, hitting the beach, enjoying the outdoors, listening to music, or spending quality time with friends and family. He can’t wait to learn more about the community and culture of Hollister! ​

From Santa Maria, CA. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo alumni Ms. Rios is in her second year of teaching. Ms. Rios has shown various animals from small to large livestock and is excited to be in charge of beef and rabbits SAE Projects. Motivated to promote student involvement in agriculture, leadership, professional development and encompass the SAE, CDE, and FFA in the classroom.
