The month of August is a quiet one for Hollister FFA, yet we still have a few events happening. On Monday, August 15, is when all money is due for those attending National Convention, and if you missed the opportunity to attend this year, I strongly encourage you to sign up and fundraise for next year because it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore new places, meet new people, and (of course) fuel your passion for FFA! Saturday, August 20th at 9A.M. is our Hollister FFA Sheep/Goat Showmanship Clinic at Bolado Park. It is $45 cash if you bring your animal and participate but only $10 if you plan to just watch. If you need a ride from the barn, RSVP with your name and the specie you will be taking to Mrs. Bianchi at 831-801-7002 by Tuesday, August 16, Mrs. B will have the trailer and will be leaving the barn at 7:30 A.M. On Wednesday the 24th we have another one of our Fair Livestock meetings from 3-4, be on time and remember, if you miss three meetings you will not be able to exhibit your animal at Monterey or San Benito County Fair. Lastly, at the end of the month is Monterey County Fair from August 30th to September 5, go and cheer on your fellow Hollister FFA members as they exhibit hogs, sheep, goats, and cattle!
